Since the dawn of the age of Homo sapiens on our planet earth, humanity has evolved to such a huge extent in this 21st century that even our leaders or forefathers wouldn’t have been able to think of. This is the remarkable example of an exponential growth trajectory in the progressive journey of mankind evolution.

Even though we have accomplished huge technological advancements in almost every aspect of human life still health of the million lives remain compromised. Health has been one of the most primary concerns of humanity for survival since the evolutionary stages of mankind.

As mankind goes on developing further, it is continuously losing its touch with nature at the cost of a more and more comfortable life. Mankind is not only losing the touch with nature but also consciously or unconsciously harming themselves and Mother Nature.

As technological advancements are creating more and more comfortable life, people keep on losing touch of the active lifestyle and nutritional awareness. The major industries especially the food industry is making huge benefits out of this scenario with the advent of artificial sugar.

Basically, the food industry works on 3 basic rules:
1. Manipulation of consumer behaviour for benefits.

Okay, you might not believe this first of all but think of the commercial advertisements of the major food companies, how smartly they lure the common man to buy their products although you know already that they are just not good for your health. But they make you lose your willpower to compromise with your health.

2. Sugar leads to more sugar cravings.

Almost every readymade food product is infused with harmful chemical preservatives for the longer shelf lives and the sugar hidden in plain sight in the form of many artificial sweeteners to develop more cravings among consumer for more sales. The food industry is working on its best to create sugar addiction among consumers.

3. Capitalism Profit

The food industry may go to any extent to make the product cheaper for more sales and profit while maintaining its artificial taste and attractiveness.

Okay, you still might not believe the fact. Next time you buy any readymade food product from your local market. Have a look at the ingredients and just think of how much really it would cost to manufacture such an artificially tasty and attractive food product and that too in bulk production.

Almost every second person we know about in our life is encountered by the unfulfilling temptations of the sweets & sugary flavoured items during festive seasons, especially in winters.

Let alone those who are already diabetic or exposed to pre-diabetic symptoms in their life, especially the youngsters. Even every other non-diabetic person has at least one person suffering from type 2 diabetes in their family.

Although no one can completely ban sugar from their life as it has become an active ingredient in our eating habits. So one of the most concerned questions in life nowadays is how to avoid or at least consciously minimize the artificial sugar from our daily life.

One more thing that must come into our notice is that one should be able to clearly distinguish between natural sugar and artificial sugar.

1. Go Sporty

Making oneself indulged into any kind of daily fitness or sports activities leads to an active and healthy lifestyle.

Studies have shown that when people get indulged in daily fitness activities, sooner or later they tend to avoid sugar or junk food products to maintain their health or getting results faster.

2. Be Aware

Subscribing a good health and fitness educational blog on a social media platform for increased awareness to take better decisions regarding one’s eating habits for an active and healthy lifestyle.

3. Go Organic

Encouraging organic lifestyle in one’s family. Certain proven beneficial initial steps maybe like one of these.

Replacing refined sugar from jaggery. Eating more citrus or natural sugar fruits that balance one’s overall daily consumption of natural sugar.

So that mind and body can become capable of avoiding excess sugar through sweetener infused beverages like tea, coffee or soft drinks and readymade food products like snacks and ice creams.

4. Watch Labels

Reading labels and ingredients of packaged products to identify and avoid or getting lesser chemically synthesized artificially flavoured sweet products.

You may be totally surprised by the various kinds of artificial sugar hidden in plain sight. For example, corn syrup, rice syrup, caramel, malt and many more.

5. Weekly Detox or Daily Intermittent Fasting

Having at least one detox day in a week leads to better body functioning by removal of excess toxins or free radicals in our body.

Daily intermittent fasting, too shows good results in better body functioning by providing sufficient time for various systems mainly the digestive system of our body to get enough rest and recovery for renewed performance.

Such activities also lead to enhanced mental willpower of the performer.

6. Organised Routine

Sleeping on time. Studies show that night owls have more tendency to get trapped into sugar temptations.

Having an organized lifestyle with fixed times for meals. Eating on time curbs the tendency to eat junk food.

Exercising daily on fixed time leads to one’s biorhythm to eat, work and sleep on time.

One may also join daily morning Yoga sessions in their vicinity or local parks to get the feel of more connection with nature.
